화려하고 성대한 연회 테이블은 주최자의 위엄을 드러내면서, 동시에 참석자에 대한 호스트의 사려깊은 배려를 보여주는 자리다. 이런 화려한 공동 식사의 개념은 14세기 초 이태리어 '방케토(banchetto)'에서 비롯된 '뱅큇(Banquet)'이라는 단어로 시작됐다. 이 단어는 초대받은 손님이 앉는 작은 벤치를 의미한다. 예로부터 인류는 함께한 사냥에서 얻은 고기를 나누어 먹음으로써 서로의 기운을 나누고 건강과 안녕을 기원해왔다.

식당의 이름인 '콩 뱅큇(Cong Banquet)'은 길고 속이 빈 옥기(玉器)의 일종인 콩(cong)의 형태에서 영감을 받아 만들어졌다. 장방형의 변과 중앙의 둥근 구멍을 가지고 있는 콩은 신적 권위나 정체성 의식의 형성을 상징하며, 문명의 시작을 증명한다. 전통적인 의례 유산을 오마주한 이곳은 콩의 형태, 색상, 의미, 품질에서 영감을 얻어 새로운 퓨전 요리의 맛, 매력, 영혼을 재해석한다.

The restaurant's name, Cong Banquet, is derived from the shape of the Cong, a long hollow piece of jade with rectangular sides and a central round hole, which symbolizes the formation of divine authority or identity consciousness and proves the beginning of civilization. A homage to the traditional ritual heritage, Cong Banquet is a stand-alone building that takes inspiration from Cong's shape, color, meaning, and quality to interpret the taste, charm, significance, and soul of new fusion cuisine, striving to create a classical dining space that has an everlasting charm.

Solid walls and glasses act as the boundary to enclose an L-shaped openair water courtyard, which provides sufficient daylight for the internal space and introduces the seasonal scenery indoors. The stunning view of the staggered sloping roof, surrounded by lush green trees, sky clouds, and gentle wind, is reflected on the water's surface, creating a mirroring effect. Water not only possesses its own unique material nature but also holds profound cultural connotations. It is associated with a gentlemanly flair, and its mild and humid meaning is similar to that of jade.

견고한 벽과 유리가 L자형 노천 수영장과 뜰을 감싸며, 내부에 충분한 일광을 제공하고 자연의 풍경을 끌어들인다. 푸른 나무, 구름, 부드러운 온풍이 어우러져 경사진 지붕의 멋진 광경이 수면위로 거울처럼 펼쳐진다. 물은 문화적으로도 깊은 의미를 지닌다. 신성한 분위기를 자아내며, 온화하고 촉촉한 느낌은 마치 콩(琮)과 같다. 콩의 사각형과 둥근 형태를 그대로 재현한 레스토랑의 야외 공간은 수면 위에 각기 다른 크기의 원형 부품을 재치 있게 배치하고 있다. 처마가 만들어내는 베란다, 퇴보 건물과 연결된 원형 휴게 공간을 갖춘 이곳은 야경을 즐기며 파티나 대화를 위한 완벽한 장소로 손색없다. 동양미학의 관점에서 볼 때 안뜰은 내부 공간을 확장해 공간과 시야를 넓히고, 예술적 개념을 창조하는 역할을 수행한다.

Colors of objects are inextricably linked with emotions, which are then reflected in physical space. As the path winds its way, it generates rhythms of varying sizes, widths, and heights. Jade-textured materials are employed to highlight the theme, constructing ceremonial corridors via floor pavement, partial facades, and structure nodes. The entrance is adorned with an art installation that reflects the joy, enthusiasm, and organic agility of the flowers, forming a sharp contrast with the darkness and order of the surroundings. The corner features an end view arranged along the axis and asymmetrical balance, which creates a new visual language. The 'scene-setting' design approach helps to soften the tough aisles.

사물의 색은 감정과 불가분의 관계에 있으며, 이 감정은 물리적 공간에 투영된다. 콩 뱅큇은 길을 휘감으면서 다양한 크기와 폭, 높이의 리듬을 만들어내고 있다. 콩의 질감을 가진 재료를 사용하여 주제를 부각하고, 바닥 마감, 구조물의 마디를 통해 의식의 흐름에 따른 복도의 무드를 고조시킨다. 입구에는 꽃의 기쁨과 열정, 유기적인 움직임을 반영한 예술작품이 배치되어 주변의 어둠과 질서와 극명한 대비를 이루며, 비대칭적 균형을 특징으로 클래식한 식사 공간을 완성했다.
